Luca Giani is the Co-founder and CEO of Ilios Therapeutics, a biotech company developing a pioneering chemistry platform for the rapid synthesis of multi-functional, brain-penetrant therapeutics targeting hallmark pathophysiologies in neurodegenerative diseases. His career spans investment banking, management consulting, and venture capital, before transitioning to venture creation of two companies in the obstructive sleep apnea and chronic disease spaces before launching Ilios.

Motivated by personal and family experiences with disease of the Central Nervous System, Luca is driven to turn scientific innovation into real-world treatments. He is committed to a patient-centered approach, ensuring that Ilios’ breakthroughs translate into impactful therapies that address urgent unmet needs.

Luca holds a B.S. from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree from Harvard. In 2022, he was awarded the TAPP Fellowship at the Harvard Belfer Center, where he researched strategies to accelerate neurodegenerative disease treatments under the mentorship of Dr. Bob Langer. In 2023, he was awarded the Harvard Blavatnik Fellowship for Life Sciences Entrepreneurship.
