Lauren Gehman is the CEO and Co-founder of Merge Therapeutics, a preclinical biotech company developing multispecific antibodies for autoimmune disease and winner of the 2024 Mission Biocapital Platinum Award. She has over 12 years of experience as a biotech/pharma operator and a PhD in Molecular Biology. Lauren possesses a broad pre-clinical drug development skillset, including program and executive team leadership, portfolio planning, and commercial strategy. She has led IND and clinical development for multiple therapeutic antibodies, developed and launched several commercial products, and built and mentored successful teams. Lauren is passionate about the intersection of science and business, mentoring other women in biotech, and believes in leading with grit, empathy, and humility. She lives in Marin County, California with her husband and three-year-old twins.
