Dr. Jermaine Ross co-founded Alleo Labs and serves as CEO and president. By harnessing advancements in AI, Alleo Labs is a biotech startup developing first-in-class oral therapies targeting brain inflammation in Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Alleo is also collaborating with Amsterdam University Medical Center in a consortium to research young-onset dementia, with funding from the Dutch Research Council. Dr. Ross brings nearly a decade of industry experience in drug discovery and AI, including his previous executive role as Vice President and Head of Neuroscience at Immuneering Corporation (NASDAQ: IMRX), where he co-led the company to its IPO in 2021. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and holds a doctoral degree in Neuroscience from Brown University. Dr. Ross also trained as a neuroscientist and computational biologist at the National Institutes of Health for over 10 years. He is currently a board member of the Alzheimer’s Association, a mentor at Nucleate, and a William H. Gates Sr. Fellow with the Alzheimer’s Disease Data Initiative.
