Henris porch2

The Termeer Foundation carries on the bold legacy of former Genzyme CEO Henri Termeer, who pioneered groundbreaking treatments for rare diseases and was committed to mentoring tomorrow’s leaders.

Henri led Genzyme for 28 years, building the company from a small start-up of 20 people to 12,000 employees globally and serving patients in more than 90 countries, all while playing a pivotal role in establishing Massachusetts as the mecca of biotech. He also forged the path for building a sustainable rare disease business, and he set a standard that every patient would be treated regardless of their location or ability to pay.

In these pages we invite you to get to know Henri. Browse books and articles about him, as well as those he recommended. Learn about the awards and honors that have been established in his name. Take a virtual stroll through Termeer Square. And please, add your own memories!
